New Collective Labor Agreement for Temporary Workers 2026
From January 1, 2026, the collective labor agreement for temporary workers will change. Read here what the new rules for equal pay mean for students and companies in Delft.
What changes fromΒ the 1st of January 2026?
On January 1, 2026, the new collective labor agreement for temporary workers comes into effect. The most important change: temporary workers are entitled to fully equal pay. This means they receive at least the same employment conditions as permanent employees in an equivalent or comparable role at the client company.
For both students and companies in Delft, this provides greater clarity, transparency, and a level playing field.

From client-based pay to equal pay
Currently, the system of client-based pay is used. This ensures that temporary workers are equally compensated with permanent employees on ten standard components: base salary, reduction in working hours (ADV), all allowances, initial pay increases, expense reimbursements, periodic increments, reimbursement for travel hours or travel time, one-time payments, home office allowance, and the fixed year-end bonus.
From 2026, this will change to fully equal pay. In addition to these ten points, all other employment conditions applicable to permanent employees in the same role will also apply. This includes paid breaks, holiday arrangements, sports budgets, extra vacation days, and other secondary employment benefits.
For companies, this means that all employment conditions must be shared with the temporary staffing agency so they can be applied correctly. This is done via the Standard Equal Pay Request Form, available at wijzerbelonen.nl
What does this mean for temporary workers?
For temporary workers, this is good news. They will receive exactly the same employment conditions as their permanent colleagues. This can provide additional benefits, such as:
higher allowances
extra vacation days
eligibility for bonus schemes
greater clarity and transparency regarding pay
entitlement to back pay in case of underpayment
At Stud Student Employment Agency Delft, we believe it is important that students are fairly and fully compensated for their work.
