Case Study

At Stud, you’re not just doing a side job – you’re contributing to something bigger. The same goes at Manometric, a Delft-based pioneer in medical technology. Here, students not only get the chance to be involved, but also to truly make an impact.

Manometric innovates constantly—literally and figuratively. Their self-developed 3D scanner produces ultra-precise scans of hands and wrists within seconds – perfect for people with arthritis, who would otherwise have to sit in a cast for minutes. These scans form the basis for unique, custom-made braces that improve comfort and quality of life.

“We were looking for people with both technical skills and a care mindset. Thanks to Stud, we quickly found motivated students who strengthened both our production team and back office,” says Renske Kammenga, Manometric.

Our students worked not only with complex materials like carbon and silicone, but also provided structure and support behind the scenes. From assembling to optimizing, they were involved in every step.

“I can literally see and feel what I’ve made and how it helps others.”

With international expansion and growing demand, Manometric is constantly on the move. This is exactly where our students make a difference. One of them is Katarzyna Prokopiuk. She works as a Production Specialist and is responsible for assembling 3D-printed braces that are not only technically precise but also provide daily comfort to the wearer.

Katarzyna joined Manometric through Stud, but she no longer feels like a temporary worker: “I’m included in everything – from team lunches to strategy meetings. That way, I learn much more than just production. It feels great to know that my work matters and that I’m truly part of the team.”
