Job description

The Ocean Cleanup develops advanced technologies to remove plastic pollution from oceans and rivers. The research team is improving a global river model that maps how plastic flows into the oceans. This model is directly used by the River team to identify new cleanup locations and evaluate existing Interceptor deployments.

You will contribute to this by conducting a structured literature review focused on tidal influence in rivers. Based on your research, you will create a well-organized dataset and deliver both a tabular overview and geospatial file.

Your responsibilities:
  • Designing and executing a systematic literature review
  • Documenting and structuring data in Excel
  • Preparing a .shp file to visualize locations of interest

Skills needed

  • English proficiency
  • Enrolled in a BSc or MSc track in engineering
