Job description

A world leader in sensors, stations, and intelligent networks for solar energy, hydrology, and meteorology is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Specialist to strengthen the warehouse and shipping team in Delft.

As part of this team, you will be responsible for the receipt, shipment, and inventory/material control of incoming and outgoing materials, instruments, and equipment.

Position Summary:

Responsible for incoming and outgoing materials, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations regarding receipt, shipment, and inventory/material control. You are involved in receiving or preparing materials for processing internal work orders or export orders. Performs a wide range of planning, coordination, and reporting tasks to support the production workflow. Coordinates and monitors the backlog, helps plan and prioritize activities in the assigned distribution area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and processing incoming goods and materials.
  • Picking and completing work orders for projects.
  • Organizing and retrieving stock from the warehouse.
  • Coordinating and monitoring the backlog and supporting in planning and prioritizing activities in the assigned distribution area.
  • Preparing and completing work orders for production or customer delivery according to schedule.
  • Receiving and processing warehouse stock products.

Duration

  • Between 16 and 18 hours a week

Skills needed

  • Experience in the use of measurement or inspection instruments
  • Physically able to lift heavy objects
  • Willing to carry out quality inspections on supplier-supplied goods for damages, defects or deviations according to predefined specifications/technical drawings.
